Water Treatment Pilot Studies

NTL Alaska, Inc. offers a full range of water treatment pilot studies that can be used in engineering pre-design projects, or to optimize existing treatment systems. The pilot studies combine state of the art treatment technology with our certified laboratory analysis capabilities to solve water treatment problems throughout Alaska. Our equipment includes acrylic filter columns that allow the media to be observed directly, on-line turbidity and laser particle size analyzers, jar test equipment and a full complement of additional field laboratory testing apparatus.

We have conducted pilot studies for the removal of hardness, turbidity, color, iron, manganese, arsenic, salinity, Giardia and Cryptosporidium, and disinfection by-product precursors. We have also performed Surface Water Treatment Rule Filtration Efficiency Studies on existing filter systems. The treatment technology used in each pilot study is tailored to the site specific water quality conditions and to our client's requirements. Our personnel include experienced environmental scientists and ADEC Certified water and wastewater treatment operators. Please contact our Fairbanks laboratory for further information about our pilot study capabilities.

For additional information please contact Michael Pollen by email or phone our Fairbanks Office (907) 452-6855.
